Bases for the restoration of the traditional fishing methods in mareal systems: the encanizada del Ventorrillo (Murcia, Espana)

The traditional fishing system of the enchained ones is located in the communication channels between the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea. There were six from the 13th century to the 80s. The objective is to set out the guidelines to restore the fishing infrastructure of the Ventorrillo canyoning. Field samplings and bibliographic review were carried out on the restoration of another nearby fence. The result is the description of the actions on the fishing gear, recovery of the marine draft, building, pedrizas, jetty and path between jetty and the building. Access to motor boats and unauthorized shellfishing must also be restricted.
