Informe provisional del seguimiento de la mortalidad de vertebrados en las carreteras de Valencia.

Survey of vertebrate mortality in roads of Valencia province (E Spain). Twenty-nine km out of the >3000 km available were surveyed, irregularly and with different methodologies. Data from Albufera Natural Park were included. Casualty frequencies for vertebrate classes were as follows: mammals (46%), birds (38%), amphibians (12%), and reptiles (3%). Three of the surveyed roads (including one highway) were thought to be very dangerous.

Un muestreo de la mortalidad de vertebrados en las carreteras de la provincia de Valencia (E Spain). El muestreo cubre 29 km de los >3.000 km disponibles, prospectados con distintas metodologías. Se incluyeron los datos de Parque Natural de la Albufera de Valencia. Las frecuencias de atropellos para las distintas clases de vertebrados fueron las siguientes: mamíferos (46%), aves (38%), anfibios (12%), y reptiles (3%). Tres de las carreteras muestreadas (incluyendo una autopista) se consideraron peligrosas.
