Mortandad de murciélagos por atropello en carreteras del sur de la provincia de Huesca.

This article shows the data obtained from run over bats during 1998 and 1999 in South Huesca roads 42 bats from 12 different species were found; the area 17 different species. Two of the species are the most affected, representing 71,42% of the total, because they are anthropophilics. Mortality depends on the species, the habitat, season of the year and the speed of the vehicles. Higher mortality is observed during the post reproduction period and on roads near towns. The amount of dead bats due to roadkills as well as the number of affected species shows that this death cause is more frequent than could be supposed at first, and could be a relevant factor to understanding the behaviour of some concrete species in certain locations.
