The Ministry for Ecological Transition is finalizing the procedure for the reintroduction of the monk seal to Fuerteventura.

The Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO-CSIC) has completed the OAPN_CHAFARINAS_0825 survey, aimed at characterizing the marine habitats of the Chafarinas Islands, whose waters have been declared a Special Area of Conservation (SAC) within the Natura 2000 network.
